You will definitely get hooked......

I love truTV. But now.....ID. Investigation Discovery. Test your forensic knowledge here:

D and I found a new show -- I Survived... -- on Biography. Truly amazing survivors are shown here, but the things they could have avoided had they just taken a moment to think. I mean, I come from a very small town, but I would never pick up a hitchhiker. C'mon now.....

Goin' back to cali, to cali.....

We leave for Cali in one week. It will be good to get away from both of our jobs for a few days. I'm going to my first professional baseball game......let's hope there are no fly balls coming my way. Then we hit Disney Land.....yes, it may be the original, but it's no Disney World!

We saw Indiana Jones last week -- we were disappointed, but glad we saw it.

This week -- Sex and the City:

Tales from the suck......

Tale #1: Customer A, we'll call him "Bubba", calls in for a cable package pricing. I give him the price -- $30 for Internet and $56 for cable. "Sir, the total package cost will be $86 plus taxes." Bubba proceeds to argue that I am incorrect, that $56 and $30 equates to $76. So, we argue back and forth, and I kindly tell him that we can do the math together if he'd like to get some paper. Needless to say, Bubba didn't take the sale. He's still counting his fingers and toes.

Tale #2: Customer B, Brad, a very "frat boyish" guy, calls in requesting Internet. I go over the pricing, with Brad accepting (he can count, he's a frat boy). I offer installation of early next week, Monday or Tuesday. Brad replies with, "well, I have the money today." Okaaaaay.... Brad: "If I wait until then, the money will be spent." No install was scheduled. I guess the parental check doesn't arrive until late next week.

This is the genius that I'm met with every day.......

The 'Burbs

We are adjusting to life in suburbs. I think D is adjusting better than I....I still feel like I am visiting and can't quite settle in. Once we get everything in order, I hope to feel more comfortable. No pics of the house yet -- it feels incomplete without the new chairs and other stuff. This weekend we get to get everything together upstairs. We have all of this room yet I feel we still live in just two -- the kitchen and bedroom. Slowly but surely........

The munchkins are beginning to love all of the room they have to play and run. They like it outside but hate the hose..... Mr. Jack Sprat is very hyper these days. Fattie (Diesel) just enjoys his bones. And Junior just loves to lay in the grass.

Oh, and we installed a new doorbell on our own! That was fun...no really, it was!

That's it....

Settling in.....

We are finally all moved in. Seems like it took forever but D did a perfect job of arranging the movers and all that needed to get done. It was a good move, but slightly harder than I anticipated with D's back and my cold. Only a couple of slight mishaps.....of course the lamp in the TV went out and Conn's is impossible to get a hold of. Two of our new chairs are on back order. And, a broken candle holder. Not bad considering all of the stuff we have. Yesterday we were able to get everything out of the living room and kitchen and into a spare room. Since D can't lift still, she got stuck arranging the closet, which was a chore to say the least.

The Boys are slowly adjusting. They were able to run in the back yard leash free since the monsters next door must have been gone for the weekend. Diesel went after the other neighbor's dog but one spray of the hose and he was done...won't even go in that area anymore. Junior loves to just lay in the grass. All three look like a little herd of cattle munchin on the grass. They still don't understand the concept of having their own room. Granted, it is small and they can't run around much, but it's better than being locked in the crates.

Finally, finally....we've been able to grill and have done so the last couple of nites. This was the one thing I have been looking forward to!

D has mentioned the sounds of the house.....but I think she was politely saying that my intense snoring the last few days is what is waking her! I am exhausted and a little lost in the house (I feel like a visitor) but all that is left is to just settle in..........

Nueva casa

Well it's finally here! After what seemed like forever, we are finally moved into the new house!!! Before I go too far, I must publically thank my Love for all that she has done for this move!! As some of you might know my back has been out since the 18Th and I was, what's the word...useless? Aside from the movers, E took care of everything. She is wonderful, what else can I say? Moving on...

The house is great! The boys seemed a little lost, but they are slowly getting used to it. They have their very own room in this house and that's DEFINITELY going to take some getting used to. Our first night went smoothly, aside from the fact that I heard EVERY possible noise in the house...Ha! It's going to take time getting used to all the space and we need to learn all the new sounds of our new home. We look forward to settling in this weekend for some serious unpacking and set up. We hope this post finds everyone doing well and we will be back soon....
